A considered specification. / Real Fyre

Choose how you want to use the fire.

The venting choice comes before the log style. Start with your fireplace and your reason for buying, then compare the systems that can actually belong there.

01 / Open-chimney ambiance

The open-flue fire experience.

Vented gas logs use a working chimney or the venting required by the listed system. They suit a buyer who wants the look of a fire in a suitable fireplace.

The cost: an open flue carries heat outside. Choose this for ambiance rather than as the home's main heat source.

02 / Supplemental room heat

Heat that stays in the room.

Vent-free systems are designed for supplemental heat in an approved installation. Combustion products and moisture remain in the room during vent-free operation.

The cost: room suitability, air supply and local restrictions narrow where the system can be used. An open space alone does not prove suitability.

Similar names do not make interchangeable parts.

Split Oak appears in both vented and vent-free collections, but the names describe a look. The log models and approved burner families differ. A set chosen for one system must not be moved to another because the nominal width happens to match.

The selector on each collection page uses documented component combinations from the manufacturer references. It does not certify that the appliance can be fitted in your home. That last decision needs the exact manual, the fireplace listing and the measurements.
