Charred Mountain Birchvented gas logs

The collection in detail

A charred mountain birch look, with the component references beside it.

Charred Mountain Birch gives the Charred collection a birch appearance and a wider nominal-size range than several neighboring styles. The brochure lists 18/20, 24, 30, 36 and 42 inches. That range does not mean every burner or control is offered at every width. The current G31 and G46 tables include their own compatible CHMBW rows, while G4/G45 arrangements follow the Signature tables. This matters when an existing fireplace already has a burner: the log's name and a tape-measure reading are not enough to choose the replacement. The smallest current log model is CHMBW-18, despite the brochure's 18/20 label. Standard CHMBW and the -FE enhanced version are separate orders. Compare the standard photograph first, then decide whether the additional enhanced components belong in your selected arrangement.

• Nominal brochure references extend through 42 inches; complete choices depend on the burner.
• The smallest actual standard log SKU is CHMBW-18.
• CHMBW and CHMBW-**-FE are different orders with different included components.

The priced selections shown here pair this family with G31, G4, G45, GX45, G46 burner references where the manufacturer table documents compatibility. The available fuel choices are natural gas and propane. Controls listed in this family include match-lit natural gas, manual standing pilot, variable remote, electronic on/off remote, electronic variable remote, on/off remote, manual safety pilot.

The practical boundary

A beautiful flame still needs a suitable chimney.

A vented selection requires the fireplace and operating venting specified by the exact appliance. Heat leaves through that required venting. Choose this system for the open-fire experience, with the chimney condition and permanent venting provisions reviewed before installation.

The nominal 18/20 / 24 / 30 / 36 / 42-inch labels describe the offered set sizes. They do not establish the minimum firebox width, depth or opening height. Different control assemblies can change the space required.
